Marlborough City Council reelects Ossing president, Navin vice-president for 2026
MARLBOROUGH — January 5, 2026 — Marlborough City Council reelects Ossing president and Navin vice-president for 2026. At a 10-minute organizational meeting Monday, all 11 councilors voted unanimously to return Michael H. Ossing to the presidency and Sean A. Navin to the vice-presidency, with Ward 6 Councilor A. Trey Fuccillo first elected president pro tempore on an 11-0 roll call to preside over the contest. Navin nominated Ossing; Ward 1 Councilor Mark A. Vital seconded. At-Large Councilor Kathleen D. Robey then nominated Navin, seconded by At-Large Councilor Mark A. Oram. The council also voted 11-0, on Robey's motion, to carry the 2025 council rules into 2026 "until they have been looked at and amended if needed." Ossing said he was "honored and humbled" and pledged to "move Marlborough forward." Father Steve Clements of Immaculate Conception Church gave the invocation.
