Personnel Committee advances two Council on Aging appointments

MARLBOROUGH — February 9, 2026 — Marlborough Personnel Committee unanimously advances two Council on Aging appointments in seven-minute hearing. The committee endorsed the reappointment of Raymond, a four-year incumbent, and the appointment of Judy McDonald, a Daybreak Program volunteer, sending both to the full City Council. Councilor Sean Navin, who made the motion, said residents had called him in advance to endorse the candidates, which he said "speaks both to the value of the Council on Aging and to your character." Councilor Laura Doucette also questioned the pair on their volunteer backgrounds. The chair highlighted the Council's "sand for seniors" program, which delivers winter sand to roughly 58 enrolled seniors via the DPW, and noted the Senior Center has hired a new chef. The meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
